ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Fine Arts Graduate & Art Educator

My artistic journey has been shaped by a continuous desire for self-development and the pursuit of original creative expression. Since beginning my studies in the Department of Painting at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Uludağ University in 2010, I have aimed to build upon the knowledge, skills, and experiences gained throughout my education and to further advance my artistic development.

I see art not only as an aesthetic practice but also as a powerful language of expression. For this reason, I have chosen to move beyond conventional artistic approaches, drawing inspiration from the free use of color in Pop Art while embracing the expressive power of figurative art. Over time, I developed a distinctive visual language that seeks to reveal not only the physical appearance of subjects but also the emotions and inner realities they embody.

In my works, I intentionally distort portrait forms to expose the traces of the human spirit hidden beneath the surface. While remaining connected to traditional artistic values, I continuously explore contemporary approaches, questioning the relationship between figure, space, and emotion.

Believing that the most significant transformation in modern society lies within human perception, I focus on portraiture and the interaction between figure and environment as a means of challenging established visual conventions. This perspective led to the creation of the Red Woman Series, a body of work that marks an important stage in my artistic exploration by combining the beauty of nature with reflections of the human soul.

Today, my paintings emphasize authenticity, emotion, texture, and inner expression. Through each work, I strive to create a unique visual narrative that invites viewers to look beyond appearances and establish a personal emotional connection with the artwork.
